Space Party in Second Grade!

My daughters second grade class recently had a space party to celebrate their first oral book report! I really enjoyed getting this space party together and thought I would share it with you!
I wanted to make it very special, so I ordered space lollipops and made cupcakes and rocket ship cookies!

 I tried to keep the party food simple but I have to admit, this is one of the easiest parties to get carried away on! I had so many ideas and without question, it was hard not to incorporate all of them!

I gave each food item a special space theme name and decorated the name tags to look very space like! This cost very little, because I had the space ship and stars printed on card stock, then cut them out and glued them into several different collages!

Here is my Rocket Fuel! This is super CHEAP and cute!

Here are my Moon Pies! How spacey is that?

I love my Star Crunches! They were a BIG hit!

There were no Asteroids left at all!!

I made cupcakes and added the space suckers as a center piece.. I was short on time, but the kids loved the two in one treat! You cannot go wrong with a cupcake and sucker combo with a room full of kids!

I ordered this cute rocket ship cupcake holder to display the "space cakes" on!

I have to admit, the rocket ship shaped "planet cookies" were my one and only headache in this whole party planning! They were a little time consuming, but they turned out so adorable that I will take them on again!

 I can not forget to mention my pixy stix! They are just the pixy dust of the party!

I really enjoyed sharing this space party with you! I had a great time planning it and watching the children enjoy the fun of the party!

Until next time,
I'm partying at;

  19. So fun! Love those rocket cookies. Sadly, I think if I were put in charge of such an event, all of my food would be more along the line of the cheese puff "asteroids" ;) Great job!
