My Entryway Planters Makeover

I have been on a Spring cleaning trip around my house this week! I have cleaned, cleared, painted and washed everything in and outside of the house that can possibly need it. I feel like I have for one, small brief moment in time caught up with my life! Talk to me next week and I probably will be back to square one and need another week to catch up..

My hubby and I have lived in Lowe's this week...we are on a first name basis with the associates.  Is that bad?  On one of my many trips to the store this week, I picked up a can of spray paint and some potting soil.

I decided my front entryway planters needed a severe makeover.

My hubby is amazed at how I can decide the entryway needs a makeover by just walking up to the front entrance of our home!

I began by spray painting my planters with a black, all weather protection, outdoor color by Valspar.

I already love the new look and I have nothing planted in them!

I have a love for beautiful flowers and gardening but, I have a problem...I forget to do the small things that end up being very big; like watering the pretty flowers, or fertilizing them! So I went with a potting soil that has a fertilizer mix that lasts for nine months! That is a wonderful thing for me! I was extremely excited about this dirt that will take care of my flowers!

My hubby picked out my Oriental Lily's, which he promised to water.. They are very exotic!

I live in coastal Georgia and my home has a Tabby exterior so this makes a perfect selection for my house. I must also mention how wonderful the Oriental Lily's smell! You can smell them several feet away as you walk up to my entryway. I love this! How great is it to have an outside air freshener permeating your entry to your home? I am all about saying welcome to my home, come on in!

Until next time,
